mine has a strong beefy flame (very new lines & appliance) but it still takes a while to boil water because im at elevation

What brand appliance is it? Id put money on the gas lines. Sounds like its being starved.

There are regulators on at least 1 location, possibly 2. Some are adj. You have to look about, but usually themanufacturere has a diagram in the manual or a pdf on the website. They could also have the wrong jet, the NG switched with the propane.

You can replace the line coming from the gas valve with a length of typical garden hose. The extra volume will allow much better gas flow.

if your range is new, check the specs. we are shopping for new appliances and from what i remember, the big burner is 12000 BTU.
someone should be able to do the math based on temp and vol of water.

some of the smaller ones are half that.

Remember, altitude and how hard your water is will change the time it takes to boil....

i think im just gonna call the maintence people,..i dont wanna ruin anything or blow anything up....i am at 5000ft but it still takes longer than my old place
