Just heard my boys, the [red]VA Tech Hokies[/red] are going to the Gator Bowl on Jan. 1 My GF and I are going.

Suggestions for places to stay down there???? I went to the '94 game when Tech played (and lost to ) Tennessee but that was a while ago

 

I would try and stay on Amelia Island. You can get a room on the beach and it will be nice for you and your girlfriend.

I'm hoping we can get past you guys this weekend so I can go to Pasadena!

For some reason, I'm not all that excited to be playing FSU in the Gator Bowl (though we're lucky to be getting the bid, since I think we're gonna get stomped by Miami ). We've been there and done that. I actually went to the national championship Sugar Bowl 2 years ago, and neither team is as good now as it was then. I just can't see it being as exciting. I'd rather see us play someone new, like Kansas State or something. Oh to have Michael Vick and Lee Suggs back....*sigh*

I bet with Vick back and Suggs healthy...we would have had a GREAT shot at the national championship this year. That would have made the upcoming Miami-VT game a lot more exciting...and probably would have had a lot more national championship implications involved. Ahhh...what could have been.......
