Gen II NSX
It's my understanding that some of the newer car franchisees are contractually prohibited from selling over MSRP, even in the trust-busting USA.
I think only Lexus, Infiniti, Acura and Saturn dealers are covered by contracts like this. My understanding is that reason the manufacturer is able to have price control is because of much stiffer contracts at the inception of the dealership. Maybe also a reason you'll never see these dealerships selling anything but their make.
Oakley sunglasses hold their dealers to similar standards, no selling over or under MSRP. I haven't heard about any dealer/manufacturer suits against those auto companies but Oakley has won in court.

I was at the local Acura dealership several months ago to have my Integra serviced. While I was waiting, I wandered into the showroom and on the sticker of their NSX they had around a $8,000 "market adjustment."
So I guess not all dealers follow the rules.

The picture of the blue NSX looks like it has Porsche Headlamps and Porsche twist wheels. Where did the price $55,000 come from? Is it a reliable source of information? That sounds just tooo toooo good!!!! If it sounds too good it usually isn't true, especially for 400HP.
I just spent an hour at a local Acura dealership, and the sales manager has no info on the 2nd gen NSX, but he was under the impression that the price would be lower than the current offering.
Well... I ended up putting a $1500 (refundable) deposit down on a 2003 Yellow NSX. There are 2 people ahead of me on the list, but he assured me that the car will be on the first allocation. He wasn't even sure if yellow will be offered so I took silver as my 2nd choice.
Hmmmm... the plot thickens...

AS much as I prefer this new design to the existing one, I think I'll hold off on NSXonline.com for a while. I seriuosly doubt a $55K price tag, more like double that I'd say. But I've registered the domain name just in case

I wish I knew of a way to URL into this reply a smiley with his eyes bulging, mouth dropping to the floor, complete loss of color, followed by fainting and thoughts of little hearts dancing around his head.
Why? That's how I feel about this car!!!

Holy SPIT! I'd heard that the new NSX would be a good deal, but jjjjjjjjjjjjjjeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!
Looks very nice. Very similar to the current design, excepting the more rounded shape...
And it's got Aston Martin-ish wheels, very cool.
