I can't pay cash for my rent. Not 10s, 20s, 50s, or 100s. They want a f'ing check.

Can we file a suit against soda machine owners for not taking pennies.

Come on, now. Inflation has rendered the penny almost useless, so there are very little daily applications available to consumers. Imagine all the different types of businesses out there. Imagine if you owned a business. Someone bringing in unrolled pennies is deliberately wasting your time and money. Sometimes your business doesn't deal in cash, i.e. conducting business online or through mail.

Same with the law against passing soiled money. Is a McDonald's cashier supposed to handle money with your feces on it because you just saw Supersize Me and want to stick it to Ronald?

[QUOTE]While federal law states that coins are legal tender, it does not compel anyone to accept them. If a business doesn't want to take pennies
