I can't really help you out too much on this one, but I can say that Canada certainly lets most anyone migrate here. And yes there is a very large immigration of Europeans...we are a very well-diversed country. So I would imagine that you should have no trouble moving here.

On a side note...please bring over some of those Hot Swedish Blondes we hear so much about

Canada is known for it's multi-culturalism. One of my friends is an immigration lawyer, so he could help you with the paperwork (just PM me if you want his number). As for IT jobs, its not the best time to be looking, but you should search monster.ca and careerbuilder.com. Are you looking for work in specific cities?

I'm no good to you too, but can you send some of those swedish blodes my way.

btw, I would say that in many ways, Canada is more receptive of other cultures than USA.

just my opinion.

Currently, my company has relocated me for a 1 year contract to work in Canada (more specifically Vancouver) as a Network manager. So far the people up here have been great, and extremely friendly

It does rain allot here, but definitely nowhere near as cold as the rest of the country (I'm originally from California, so I am spoiled )

In terms of the job market, the high-tech field is still somewhat difficult. So many qualified individuals, but not enough jobs and the salary range is also variable (maybe it will pick up soon?).

Overall, I am happy up here and if you are looking for a change of environment then I would definitely recommend it.

Good Luck

Used S2000 go for $27000 and up with either 8% tax if bought privately or 15% tax through a dealership. New ones are $48600 + 15% tax and other fun things like dealer prep and delivery.
Shipping a car can be expensive too.

If you like the snow during the winter, than Vancouver is not your city. Ontario/Alberta would be better (or really anywhere not on either coast, where the ocean keeps the coastline relatively warm and rainy).
