Default gift ideas

hey all

i have been dating the same girl on and off for about 4 years now. i am leaving for the summer and as a result, its the end. anyway, i want to buy her something to show her that i appreciate her and cherished our time together...she is a very good girl...but since we are breaking up, i think it throws a twist on some of the standard stuff...i wanted to buy her a monogramed pendant...but that has nothing to do with us unless i get my initials on it too...anyway, i think you get the idea...help me out!

does she collect anything?

getting her a rare or hard to find piece of a collection is a good way to give her something she will appreciate, think of you when she looks at it, remember the good times etc etc

Does she know you're breaking up?

If it's been off and on for 4 years does this really have to be the end?

I agree with Primo. Find something rare that she will treasure and that she can keep even if / when she settles down with someone else.

Why would leaving for 4 months mean ending a 4 year relationship?

Because, after 4 years, if he ain't marrying the girl, time to just move on. . . preferably to her sister or her best friend, because revenge sex, and counter-revenge sex is fun.

Seriously though, I bought a dear ex an elegant Skagen. She had never had a nice watch.

If she has everything, just write her good letter. Worry not, if it's good, she'll save it.
