i'm in a similar situation, except a little older (i'm 30, she's 26)
dating since august, pretty sure she's the one i'm gonna end up with.
i set the bar way too high for her birthday presents in september...they secured my place, but now i've got nowhere to go but down!

Hey man, I had a talk with my girl the other day about "the bar" and how, unless you're very wealthy, you can't always go upward. Manage that girl's expectations!
I think the scarf and socks are safe. Just get the britta and start using it.
Also, cd's or dvd's make pretty good presents. Does she have a favorite tv show? Buy her season on dvd. My wife and I like watching the Simpsons, she just gave me the new season
For some reason the card seems to be important to girls. Even if you have a present, don't forget the card.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa. . . this is easy kids.
Gift certificate treating her to a day out. Like a serious bang-whiz date of epic proportions. A drive in the car, picnic and/or weekend at a so-cute-you'll-puke-My-Little-Ponies B&B. The trick is to present the whole thing to her as a package. Then, don't forget the flowers and the little details when she redeems it.
CU said concert tickets. I've always scored through the uprights with a night at the opera or symphony along with the classy dinner.
You haven't known her that long. . . don't buy anything that would be considered a "capital purchase" (jewelry, pets, leather paddle).
