Siper2, Still need info on Tourist attractions in Boston? Well, you could take her to the Constitution (Tall Ship) in Charlstown, The Duck tour is great, not sure on pricing but I could find out for you. The Trolley tours are pretty good also. Not sure how long you will be in Boston but if you did the Duck tour and walked around say Charlstown, North End and Boston's version of Rodeo Drive... Newbury Street, that would fill up a whole day. And if you need info on the Nightlife of Boston... well, I definitly know alot more of that If you need more options or info on tourist sites or hotels let me know. And if you go to the Museum of Science, let me know, I may be able to help you out there a little.

The Freedom Trail is a must for anyone visting Boston. It's a great walk - especially on a nice day. And, it takes you through a nice selection of neighborhoods in Boston. Start late morning and you can stop at any of anumber of restaurants on the trail for lunch, walk a little longer and stop for a drink or two. It's a great history lesson and an enjoyable day.

Also, if you like seafood, I would recommend Legal Seafoods. It's a chain restaurant but the food is incredibly fresh.

Have fun!

One would think that, since I've lived an hour from Boston my entire life, I'd have been there enough times to know what to see. However....

Thanks for all the suggestions!!

s2kchick, where can I park to start the trail? That's one thing I'd like to do...

And g-s2k, the Constitution is something I mentioned to her as well, not sure if she'd be interested in that or not. I would appreciate some pricing info if you can get it, on Duck Tours.
The North End and Newbury sound fun, see I've just never actually walked around much of the city. Faneuil, Fenway, South Station and Logan Airport. That's about it. Well, I did see the Pops one 4th of July. Which... is another option.

Siper -

Parking is horrible in Boston. I would highly recommend leaving your car whereever you're staying and using public transportation. Since the city is so small you can get just about anywhere on foot and by using the T.

The Freedom Trail ends at the U.S.S. Constitution so you can kill two birds with one stone by taking that Trail.

Well, I'm not staying anywhere, really. I live in Manchester, NH (outside the city actually, but you get the idea), which is almost exactly an hour from Boston. With no traffic, I can be parked in Short-Term at Logan in under an hour. (Needless to say, that doesn't happen often. )

So when we go down there, what do you think, should I use the parking lots off of I-93 and take the T in? Or... is that the lot on Rt. 1? Hmm, maybe both... I forget. One of the outside-the-city-public-parking lots has quick access to the T.
