Default Girlfriend visiting--Tourist stuff in Boston & Quebec?

Hey all. My girlfriend studies in grad. school in Iowa, and is visiting from the 28th - 18th of July. She's been out here before, but not for a long time like that since a couple of years ago. I'd like to do some things on my days off (I work weekend nights).

I thought of driving up to Canada for a night. Take the ol' 93-to-91N route, and maybe stop in Montreal, maybe before. Anyone been up there? I never went in on one of the drunken trips in college. Good places to go?

On the way back, I'd like to have her see Franconia Notch, maybe hit Mt. Washington. The next week we'll do the southern stuff, Boston and maybe Providence.... the Cape if we've time. I've been to Beantown many times, but does anyone know if there's like some kind of tourist ticket package for entry into say the Museum of Science and a few other places? Day tour kind of stuff? I've taken her to Faneuil Hall and stuff.... no BoSox games while she's here. How much are the Duck Tours? (Haven't checked the Net on that one, yet.)

Just looking for ideas.

Umm,

Don't go to Montreal unless you never plan on leaving. Hands down one of the best cities in North America. Total blast.

Stay away from Crescent Street, that is the tourist area, but head over to St. Laurent and St. Denis. You'll love it.

Oh, and there are just freaking TONS of Subaru 2.5 RS's there so you will be right at home.

The Quebequers take their cars seriously.

Heh, that's the problem, that's what we usually do.

We like to get around and do stuff. I usually go see her, she's very rarely out here (time constrictions for her, she's studying for a D.C. in Iowa, very few breaks). She hasn't been in NH since last summer, but we haven't seen each other for nine or 10 weeks.

Yeah... The Doctor of Chiropractic is what they teach at Palmer College of Chiro. in Davenport. It's basically the Harvard of chiro. Doctorate schools. 3 1/3 years straight, in trimesters, so three per year. No summer break really, just three weeks off Jun-Jul, and one week off in between trimesters otherwise. She has a little over a year left (graduating Oct. '02), so it's been a long stretch. There are 10 trimesters, she's just now finishing up her sixth.

The 10th and part of ninth Tri can be done away from school, so she could be living out with me in summer of next year, which is nice. The last bit there is all hands-on adjustments and making numbers, not classes. So she can do that part here.

It's been very hard to be apart but we've done very well. This is one of our longest stretches apart, it just kinda happened by chance. I saw her Easter weekend in PA at her parents' place.
The average we've shot for is every four-six weeks.
