Take this from a woman who's dated alot. You don't want to ask that question. It doesn't have an answer that means anything, and it's a real turnoff. Numbers have absolutely nothing to do with having a relationship or being faithful or being free of STDs. Focus on what is really important about your potential partner - is she a nice person, considerate of others, fun to be with, interested in some of the same things you are? That's what you need to be doing.

^ It's pretty well known that both men and women lie about the number if questioned by a potential partner, assuming they answer it at all. So nothing accomplished.

 

 

I know for a fact that my number will be 2-3 times that of nearly any girl I date or eventually end up marrying. Mine's that high as a result of slutting it up for a couple years after my longterm girlfriend and I broke up and I was trying out different people to see what appealed to me.

I don't think you'd guess that about me if you met me, and definitely wouldn't guess it if you knew me really well. Funny thing is, I'll never ask the question because I'll dread having to give an answer MORE than hearing what hers is.

Maybe I'm being old fashioned and hypocritical, but I say 5 or so is about the limit of the number I want to know about. It's not worth knowing (unless you're going to finish the statement by telling me I'm the best of all of em )
