I think it's a catch phrase from "Larry the Cable Guy", some redneck Foxworthy type.

When we went in to buy my wife's accord, the salesman used that terminology, I about barfed.

Personally, I'm getting really sick of hearing that phrase. Definitely very trashy IMO. There are a few trucks in the area here that have the stickers too.

It's the mating call for all the ignorant, backwoods, swill drinking dumbshits that look at NASCAR as the national pastime.

I live in Texas. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, spent my adolescent years in Seattle, and now I am here in Texas. I am surrounded by the stereotypes. Hell, when I moved here I expected to see desert and sage brush. I was so suprised when I found out that the majority of the state is lush green trees.

Every freaking truck commercial here is geared towards the "cowboy" demographic. All trucks are shown cruising around in the dirt, kicking up dust, and theres some sort of lasso somewhere involved. I hate it. I hate the stereotypes.

No, I am not a country person, but no I don't hate the general lifestyle of people who are "country". Hell, a majority of the economic strength of the United States comes from farm income. The men and women who wake up before dawn and work acres of farmland and tend to tons of cattle and other livestock deserve a huge amount of respect.

I'm not talking about them. I am talking about this "southern language" that rivals ebonics in stupidity. Words like Git R Done epitomizes this. Its lazy talk. Its dumbed down english. Why would you want to talk that way?

As for the blue collar comedy? You hear one joke, you hear them all. These guys to me are not original. Nor are they funny. I am sure they didnt even write the material. But they sell records and dvds because they can provide the needed hellacious-sounding and way over-exagerated accents needed to get these rediculous jokes out. Most of my friends who are natives hate their accents. Not because they despise where they came from but because of how people perceive them based solely on the way they talk. And its crap like blue collar comedy that adds fuel to the fire.

I'm not EVER going to touch the race issue either. I hate how the "N" word is used so casually down here, despite how ingrained it is in the culture. Back up north, just uttering the word could get you slapped with a lawsuit. And I can't even make any black friends here as the majority of them don't like us whites here simply because of the history of separation they have received by the majority of the white population here. There's a way of life in the south that stretches way back and has traditions rooted in the founding of the country. Thats great. But some old ideas need to be redone. Times DO change and ideas NEED to be re-taught in order to adapt to an ever-changing society.

Anyways, I guess I'm done with my rant.

there are a handful of things in my life that I am TRULY thankful for and one of them is that I was not born into a redneck/NAS-COOR lifestyle.

OK

1- I am a 25 yr old female HISPANIC who lives in Miami

2- I LOVEEEE Nascar.

3-Blue Collar Comedy tour is freaking HISTERICAL! If you haven't seen it... see it.

So for you to say that only white trash (yeah mostly white trash) like Nascar or the "Git-R-done" saying is BS. As you can see i neither live in a trailer park nor am i "white" (yes in color but not in the other reference). "Here's your sign..............."
