hey, here's one on ebay but it's r-80 steel though. you can always get it reshafted to graphite by taylor.

this is probably your best bet.

Rugby:
I came very close. I found literally a hundred Taylormade 200 fairway woods, all 3, 5, and 7 woods.
I found ony one 9 wood in the whole show. Almost what you wanted. Taylormade 200 steel, right handed 9 wood, Brand new orignally $329.00 now clearanced at $99.00. One problem, it's the m-70 grafite shaft not the r-80 light that you wanted. According to the specs listed on the site that you linked, the shafts are the same except for weight, 3 grams. If you are interested here's who had it.

Michael:

Be careful reshafting a metal wood to graphite. The swingweight will be different.

Best bet is to have taylor repair the broken one. If your friend liked that club, this is your best bet since all clubs, especially with a graphite shaft might feel different even if they are the same club.

Good Luck,

Stan

Thanks for all the input.

Stan, do you think the problem exists going graphite to graphite with a different flex?

I'm going to contact the dealer that S2KDudeRick found and if it is only going from a M-70 to R-80, I'm hoping it won't be a problem.

Everybody else, please keep searching!!!

Michael

Mike,

3 grams should not be a problem, maybe one swingweight difference between a stiff to regular flex shaft. The heads of a stiff or regular flex shaft are probably the same. The head of a metal shaft club however might be much different , is M-70 ? metal?

I would call Taylor before you bought the M-70 club and ask them. It would probably be less expensive to send the broken club to them and let them fix it. It will come back like new and if it failed when you hit the rock (broken shaft they might replace it for nothing).

Stan,

M-70 is TaylorMade's "senior" shaft. I will checkwith TM before I puchase to ensure compatability.

I don't know if the club can be repaired . . . it has a deep gouge on the face/sole.
