I once read a book written by a very famous psychology professor....
He stated, that indirect charity (an organization, where you don't actually see where your money is going, and how it's spent) is nothing more than a selfish way of getting rid of your own guilt, and for self gratification. I believe it. I personally, only give charity directly....to people I know who need it. Hippies need to stop trying to save the world, and start with their own circle. Donate money to a friend/relative/coworker that actually needs it.
