Exclamation good entry level digi cam?

I figure I should just go ahead and buy a digi cam since it seems like everyone has one now and I'm tired of using my celly cam.....

Whats a good model to buy if im looking for a just a entry level cam? Nothing to fancy and I probably won't use it much.

maybe I'll just look on ebay

get a canon powershot SD400 or SD300. they have enought features to keep you happy for a few years, and they are nice and small to keep in your pocket. if you want to spend even less, then go for the SD200.

I'd stay away from the sd400. I have one and in no way is it better PQ-wise than my A75. Regardless of the diff between 3.2mp and 4.0mp. Sure the build quality and size are nice but PQ takes a back seat.

IMO go with an A75 (if you can find one) or get the A510. The 4mp chip is a bit noisier than the 3.2 in the A series canon.

I bought (a while ago) a Sony DSC-T1 as I wanted something small (like a deck of cards) around 5MP and took video with sound (limited only by storage capacity).

http://www.steves-digicams.com/ is a good place for camera reviews.
