So... what are some must see foreign films you've seen?

I'm into gorey horror flicks, so I have to recommend Battle Royale (1 and 2) as well as Ichi the Killer. It was the movie that inspired Quinten to make the Kill Bill series, but for those with easily excitable stomachs, be-warned..
Dude, you are beyond sick if you liked "Ichi The Killer." That movie was messed up in so many ways. Two words: female mutilation.

Have you seen "Samurai Fiction" yet? It too inspired the "Kill Bill" series.

Infernal Affairs
Part I was very good, but Part II and III was so and so. I heard they're filming a US version starring Brad Pitt...

-Fifth Element
-Monsoon Wedding
-Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down
-Eat Drink Man Woman
-Shall We Dance? (Japanese original, not the Richard Gere and JLo remake)
-Life is Beautiful
-Whale Rider

Abbas Kiarostami (Iranian genius)
Jean Renoir
