Anybody catch the Dakar Rally coverage last night? Great stuff. Tonight is the 2nd night of coverage (not live unfortunately). Then starting this Friday Jan. 18, they're airing the Barrett-Jackson auction!!

I was watching it last night. I actually only had the patience to watch the introduction of all the major racers and then would only switch back to the channel when curiosity got to me.

[rant]Sometimes I like how the European production is done. But at times, the "artsy-ness" can really get to me. It got to be annoying when the music overlay was played on just about everything the camera was focusing on...[/rant]

I watched the introduction of the bikes, then the light trucks, then the full trucks, and then was amazed they had what looked like race prepped semis for the Dakar. Those trucks were HUGE.....

I think come Feb. 11th, we are in for a rude awakening when "the Speed Channel" takes over!
