maybe he should buy her cheap gifts, so she gets mad and just breaks up with him. problem solved.

Acting like such a jerk that she breaks up with him is always a good approach in these situations. Forgetting her birthday is a good start...

"The person that sees it right has the responsibility to make it right".

My guess is that the woman already knows things are not OK. Do everyone a favor and let her know that you need out of the relationship. Once you know that things are not working you are being unfair to her and yourself to keep it going.

You need to bite the bullet and get this straightened out. It may not be a fun thing to do, but it is the right thing to do.

BTW, there is no easy way to end a relationship. Good luck.

To soften the blow, you might explain that you never expected the relationship to get to the point that it did and you are not ready for commitment.

He should tell her that he doesn't see the relationship moving forward and end things cleanly and he should do it now. Yeah, the timing sucks with her birthday and the holidays, but no girl wants to find out her boyfriend was just biding his time waiting to break up with her....

And the suggestion to wait until NYE to break up with her has got to be the worst suggestion I have ever heard in my life. Break up with her now and give her the opportunity to find a guy worth her effort with the NYE dress, hairdo and makeup.

My GF just broke up with me two weeks ago, I am pretty sad I haven't spend Christmas alone in the last six years. I am going to Vegas with my friends this year!
