Default Goodbye

Just wanted to say good-bye to everyone here. As many of you know, I have traded in my S2000 and sold Chris (cjb80) my turbo set up. Feel free to e-mail me or even PM me as I will check in occassionally. I'm driving around in a 2002 BMW 330 Ci until my new M3 arrives in February. This is (or was) one of the best forums I've ever seen, let alone participated in. Looks like things here may be in a state of decline. Looks like popularity may have sent s2ki over the edge. Seems like many of the threads these days are about censorship and that's just not my thing... must have something to do with that personal freedom/constitutional rights thing. Anyway, I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.

So what do you think about the 330ci? I test drove one and have considered trading my s2k in for '01, if I can find one. Did you have to pay msrp for the '02? What extras did you get? sports package? premium package? auto or 5-speed?

The 330 Ci is a great car. I didn't really have the time or inclination to order a car and I just happened across this particular one which someone special ordered and then had trouble with financing. It's Alpine White w/ grey leather and has the Premium Package, Steptronic Trans., and the garage door opener thing. The car drives beautifully and it's so smooth and quiet. Lots of torque, at least compared to the S2. The car has a very solid feel to it. I got the garage door opener for free but other than that, it was MSRP. It's a VERY NICE car but much different from the S2.

Thanks for the info. Was wondering how negotiable BMW dealerships are since I've only bought Honda's. The car I test drove had the sports and premium packages and was incredibly fun to drive. It was also an automatic. There were no sticks available at that time. Trunk space was surprisingly large as well. There was an M3 convertible on the floor that was beautiful. Enjoy yours when it's delivered!

Oh, forgot to ask, did they give you a very good deal on your s2k?

I got $30K on trade which with the tax break I get for trading it in, comes out to almost what I paid for the car since I bought it under MSRP.

Good deal. I hate dealing with car salesman. This last experience with BMW seemed to indicate msrp would be the best I could hope for. Didn't tell'em about the s2k. Don't know if that'll help or hurt but we'll see.

Enjoy! and be safe!

Have fun with the new BMW. Thanks derryck for help making the turbo for the S2K a reality.

What did cjb80 do with his S2K? I recall he had it nicely modded with CF hood etc.
