mapquest is(or was) known for it's ability to give you completely wrong directions.

One time the ex and I were driving (before I had nav on my phone) using a printout from Mapquest.
"Turn right on X" - We turn right
"Drive .5 miles and turn Left" - We drive .5 miles and there IS NO LEFT. There wasnt a left turn for the entire .5 miles and there wasnt any left turn as far down the road as I could see, which was a hell of a long way.

Worthless.

Lately Bing maps has been working better that google maps for me.

Google for some reason no longer recognizes the street I live on and it has been unable to find places.

A couple of weeks ago I was trying to get directions to the Sheraton Hotel in Smithtown Long Island.

Google could find the hotels website but google maps couldn't find the place.

True.

I have a friend who has an out-of-sequence (address) house, and it's listed in Bing correctly.

That said, Google found all the bars close to the house just fine.

You need Google Maps to tell you this. Highly unlikely.

BTW, why you not joining us at Teske's, again?

I gave up on Mapquest years ago. Too many mistakes. I use Yahoo Maps. http://maps.yahoo.com/

I have not used Google Maps enough to have a opinion about them yet.

Google for sure. Times when my navi in the odyssey doesn't recognize an address, my iPhone always finds it.

It's the 10th - I'm going to watch some old fart who used to be in a kinda-well-known English band play bass and sing that night.
