All i know is i am 23 and driving a brand new S and living life to its fullest. i make make plenty of money and spend even more!! i plan to enjoy the next few years thoroughly and at what expense i dont really care, because soon after i will have a family and bigger comittments. so i guess its not that i am totally irresponsible because i am well aware of what i am doing but i just plan to live it up and enjoy it why i can.

I hate the feeling of owing money too. I've got plenty of credit, but I don't use it. I probably have well over $50,000 in available credit on credit cards, but I can't remember the last time I carried any kind of balance on any of them for more than one month.
I like to think I'm pretty financially responsible and savy. I don't have what most would consider a large income, but I'm able to live a pretty comfortable life thanks mostly to my good financial planning and discipline.
I have no debt at all other than my new mortgage on my first house, which I bought about 1 year ago. No car payments, no credit card debt, my student loans are paid off, I sock away a good chunk of pre-tax income into my 401k, and I've got a nice little emergency fund comprised mostly of stocks I purchased 4-9 years ago.
