Hmm, M1
they have one there, for display only, I would love to get a ride in one, let alone drive it.
From what I was told, there are only 5 745's in Canada right now, at least until full production models arive, these wheels maybe whats coming on the production model, but these ones specifiacally were used as the basis for the factory rims, There is a mold around germany somewhere..
Ok, The Mini...Like I said it is way cooler then I thought, 6 speed, feels very BMW like, not as slick as the S2K, but very friendly. I never did much research on the car, so I know little about it, other then my reactions to it.
It has a fair bit of get up and go, do doubt because of its low weight.
The interior, is nice, with a huge Tach right above the steering wheel, in a seperate pod, I found looking at the speedo in the centre, kinda of akward.
Getting in and out of it was ok, could be easier.
As my dad would say, it would make a great puddle jumber. I didn't get it up to highway speeds, but I'm sure it would cruise along nicely. it felt like a Toyota Carolla to me, but it does have style. I wasn't taken with it when I saw it at the auto show, but it has grown on me. But impractable, and small for what I look for in a car..
The 745 on the other hand..OMG!!! this had the active suppension as mentioned, and cornered very flat. with a nice ride for cruising. It had the I-Drive system, which is kinda hard to explain, its kinda like a windshield washer stalk, that you just bump to the gear, forward, reverse as needed. It also has levers, ala F1 to change gears indepently, Still an auto though..
this car had all the features installed, though some did not work. such as personal greeting, warning information, road hazards, and weather, as a voice prompts, the seats were better then the best lazy boy, I could live in this car.
It was just a dream to drive. after driving my bosses S500, I figured that was pretty much as good as luxury gets, It's been one upped..or maybe 5 upped!!!
Thats about all I know on it!
