I have no sympathy for PETA, not that I believe in animal cruelty as such but these people are complete idiots.
Years ago, when I worked in medical research, our animal house was broken into by a bunch of animal rights morons. Why do I call them "morons". They released about 200 rats to great outdoors. It was -25 to -30*C that day.

That's funny. My g/f is a strict vegetarian...from birth. She hates PETA.
She tried to join a animal rights activist group when she was in college.
She said that they should change their message to do what you can. She also encouraged them to talk to people and have compassion first. She said she didnt' want them to yell at people or try to make them change by fear or intimidation....she was asked to leave!

2 cheers for the students.

I find it really hard to believe someone would actually discourage young people from drinking milk. It's one of the healthier natural things to drink and does no harm to the cow whatsoever...

People need to boycott PETA (or just shoot them... )

Or just sneak up on them and hit them over the head with a big club and skin 'em. Even better - use them for scientific experiments. No, never mind. This wouldn't work as they don't represent a sampling of "normal" humans.

The PETA morons moved their HQ to Norfolk, VA right before I moved away from there (thank God). They immediately started doing stupid stuff like:

- harassing sportfishermen coming in on their boats

- buying up all of the lobsters in the area and sending them to Maine for release (some of these lobsters were Bahamian or south coastal, so the cold water killed them)

- catching feral cats and adopting them out (these are spayed and neutered wild wharf cats that another animal lover had been catching once a year to have vaccinations administered and check ups given, then released back into the only world they had ever known)

Total morons... I'm not about to give up eating meat or drinking milk any more than my dog is going to wake up tomorrow morning and not want to eat cats anymore, so they can get over it!

I did medical research on rats this summer and we had to go through a whole training course on animal treatment. While I agree that animals should be treated with respect some of this crap is rediculous. You should see the security at the animal care facility on our campus.... that place was on lockdown... These freaks make it all the way to Tennessee.

I have it on good authority that broiled PETA members are quite tasty with a dash of Tabasco, onions and bay leaves, cooked slowly under medium heat, served with a nice citrus chutney or Jamaican jerk sauce.

Choice of garnish is virtually unlimited...I would suggest an arctic seal meat pie or to add a little 'maritime' flavor, how about some bottlenose dolphin, sautee'd with some mushrooms, olive oil and a dash of garlic?

PETA members have by their nature a low fat content from eating all that asparagus and cauliflower, a little thin on 'meatiness,' but lean...that's for sure.

Followed up by a nice lime glace and expresso, decaf for me, for dessert...that's called LIVING!

YUMMY!

Nutritionists suggest this to be eaten is as often as possible...
