Take it easy. I don't know why you have Motrin, that can make you bleed more. Do not drink from a straw that can cause you to bleed more. You'll feel a lot better tommorow. Might I suggest ICE cream. The cold food will do you good. Keep the gause in your mouth as tolerated and use it for pressure to help the clotting. (obviously take it out if you eat). After you eat put water in your mouth and let it clean your mouth out (don't swish or anything, just rinse).

Hope that helps. Tommorow you'll be a lot better.

Some people react differently to wisdom teeth removal it seems like. Some friends have little bleeding and almost no pain, where as most are like you and me :-P. Just eat soft foods, stick to their meds, and keep the gauze on until you feel its safe. I did have some good times on my vicodin though lol

be careful with soup if you are still numb at all. You could get burned and not know it.

I lived on Ensure (liquid diet suppliment/health food) for like a week when my wisdom teeth were taken out. Liquid diet, and drink it at room temp or it will shock your nerves!

I also took the gauze out as soon as I could - found it tweaked my nerves and I was in less pain without it.

Had all four taken out 2 weeks ago. They stitched up my gums. Nasty shit. I was eating a few days ago, when I felt sometingh wiry on my tounge. The last of the dissolving stitches came undone. It was gross. Looked like a yellowish-decaying, bloody fishing line with a knot at the end.

They gave me prescription strength ibuprofen (800mg) and vicodine. Vicodine didn't work at all on me. Just made me a little tired, but didn't kill the pain. Ibufrfen worked reall good. Just tooka while for it to start working.

I'm still flushing things out of my gums with a syringe. Its amazing how much crap purges out when you squirt water down the pockets. I'm talking about strands of noodles, chunks of bread or corned beef....pieces of lettuce and etc. TOtally gross.

I survived on ensure, baby food and protein shakes for about a week and a half.

I had all four removed two months ago. It was a big learning experience and I still can't feel the left side of my tongue because the dentist "might have accidently cut the wrong nerve."

If stuff doesn't feel right in a few days, then you need to start making phone calls.

Don't drink through straws. Speghetti o's are your friend...etc

Two months later and I still have huge holes on the bottom, and after every meal I have to get a syringe (sp) to splash out food that is embeded into the holes.

I got some of the best news from the dentist earlier this year. I have an illogical fear of dentists and especially getting my wisdom teeth pulled.

So I'm chilling in the chair, listening to my mp3 when my dentist says "oh geez, you're 21 and we haven't checked on your wisdom teeth since you were 19". So we go about getting the x-rays and then he looks at me and says "huh...well I'll be damned, you're wisdom teeth are coming in perfect, I probably won't even have to do anything".

I think I actually cried a little when he said that. I'm just hoping my luck keeps up.
