Heelers can be a handful - among other things, unchecked they will tend to nip at your heels as they were bred to herd cattle, and the nipping of the cattle's feet got them to move. I agree with the above - get some training early and work with him constantly. They are very smart, loveable dogs, but they can be stubborn. Good luck
