Default Got rear ended...

A few days ago...Around 11PM I heard an alarm go off, My remote started beeping so I knew it was my car. I ran outside to check it out and I didnt see anything. Though it was somebody's exhaust or Sound system. So, I turned around to walk back inside the house and my uncle is right behind me and asked me what happened? I said nothing, he said he heard a loud noise from upstairs so I ran outside to check again and this white boy pops out. I looked at him and saw a big scrape on his chin and he asked me "Who's black car is that?" i said "Mines" he says "I just crashed into that car". I was like OH SHIT, Ran down to look at my car and this dude damaged my rear end pretty bad..Chipped my Lip scraped up my back bumper dented my trunk lid broke my trunk lid taillight and antenna. Alot of more stuff after but i dont wanan get into to much detail. Unless u wanna hear more lol...kid was underaged so we had to call ambulence cuz policed called it a "head injury"

Anyways..the situation.. I contacted his parents i got the estimate from teh body shop it came out to be $2084.06 and his parents just flipped and couldnt afford it his mom doesnt work, claims that she only makes 56$ a week. I tried to make arrangements with them but they wont agree and keep saying they cant pay. If i go thru insurance company they are goin got charge me 1000$ deductible. Which i think is not fair becuz i had nothing to do with it, i wasnt even inside the car and it was parked! So if i file a suit vs them what would happen if they dont pay?

so what does the dad do? i'm asian, but what difference did it make that it was a 'white boy'?? you mean you have a $1000 deductible on a comprehensive claim right? guess that's the trade-off for lower monthly rates.

anyway, what i would do is this...try and convince them again that they have to own up to the kid's mistake. maybe even tell them to give you $1k, you fix it through your insurance (rates won't go up for comprehensive claims), and pay w/their $1k? if they won't even do that, then look into small claims or something...

how old was he? if it was just a 10 yr old or something, then i dunno...chalk it up to shitty luck and/or get him to mow your lawn for the next 5 years or something haha

they may not charge the deductible. My friend Joy has an RSX that has gotten damaged several times in parking decks while she was at work and i dont think shes ever had to come out of pocket for any of the repairs

That suck man. This happened at a local tech day I attended. Luckily there was NO damage. Kid's father was an a-hole though. Acted like it was no big deal and said "accidents will happen". Yeah but not as likely if you're watching your animals. Not my car BTW.

let me get this straight: a bicycle hit your bumper (not door or fender) and caused $2K worth of damage? Aren't bumper designed to take 5mph hits from other cars?

You have 3 options in this case:

1. Judy Judy
2. Judge Joe Brown
3. Break that white boy
