...after I parked the car and was walking away from it. He rolled down his window to compliment me on the S2K. Funny thing was he was a traffic officer - I couldn't help notice radar hanging off the side of his window the whole time.

I just hope we don't meet again under different circumstances

One time I tried running away from a motorcycle cop...

wait a minute...that sounds bad. Let me rephrase that...

One time I tried ducking into a sub-feeder after out of the corner of my eye...I saw a cop on a bike hit me with the radar and climb on the bike. I took off and tried loosing him on this sub-feeder because...because why not?

Anyhow...to make a long story short...the cop had good eyes, and wasn't a bad motorcycle rider.

He was a bit ticked off, but I denied that I saw him "start" to come after me. He then would not believe me that the car was a Honda. He thought I was trying to swindle my way out of a ticket at the court house or something. I showed him the "H" on my steering wheel, gave me the ticket and went on his way.

When I went to drop off my tax return on the day, they had closed down the street the post office was on and they were taking them like a drive thru. The cops were standing there directing traffic. While waiting in line, two cops were standing there staring at my car (sans front plate) and I thought I was going to get it for sure. They were both looking right at where my front plate was supposed to be and were obviously talking.

So as I pulled forward in line I was thinking what my excuse was going to be. When I got up to them I heard them talking about my car and they said..."nice car!"

Yes, I am one lucky SOB.

While in high school I crossed an intersection just as the light turned red and one of those silly little 3 wheel meter maid carts behind me hit her lights. Fortunately the cross traffic was in her way. I did a few zigs and zags and was free and clear!

Another time I came off a freeway on-ramp and California rolled the red light at the end as I turned right. A cop on the other side of the intersection hit his lights but the cross traffic once again shielded me and I beat feet taking the real long way around.

They are all like that, I've never been pulled over or ticketed in the S even though I never drive anything but 15MPH over the limit. Go figure. I've almost retired my V1 since it doesn't seems to matter You can all start the pool now, hehe

Dave,

Cool. A compliment (and not a ticket) from a cop is a good thing indeed Right after I left your house a few weeks ago, there was a cop sitting in the Echo Lake parking lot....good thing I wasn't VTEC-ing through that S bend, but rather just taking it easy. I was surprised since it was a Sunday morning....

Saw you on Springfield the other day......I was looking the other direction and heard you honk, then I looked in my rear view mirror and noticed a red S2K.....sorry about that

I figured that was you. It's hard to miss that wimpy "roadrunner" horn in the S2k.

The cop was very cool. He was a car nut too, but mostly into muscle cars. Either way, it's always good to make firends
