Got a ticket last weekend...<pondering>
You may have seen the thread that Urmil and I were out last weekend and we both got tickets for "driving too fast for conditions." Some fog was rolling in and I think it's a complete chickenshit ticket...
Here's the thread from last weekend...

OK, so just now I was figuring how to handle it and I was going to plead not guilty (I have done this a million times to get out of tickets successfully). But I noticed that I never actually signed the ticket. By the signature line it says that "Without admitting guilt, I promise to comply with the terms of the citation." No signature from me...what do you think that implies? My record is totally clean and I would like to keep it that way...
Even the court person I just spoke with in response to me saying it's a 'vague' ticket...she says, "Oh, veeery vague." I think I have a good chance of getting out of it just on my good looks alone, well, maybe not...but if I ask nicely, I bet I have a fighting chance...
Any thoughts?

I once encountered a very bitter and angry cop. He wrote me a ticket for speeding, which I deserved and I did not whine or argue about. Through the entire ticket process he was rude and basically a jerk. Finally, he read me the charge and told me to sign. I refused. I'm not sure why, but I think I once heard it really pisses the cop off. This turned out to prove true. After puffing up a bit and telling me I have to sign, and me telling him, "Actually, I don't," he wrote "Refused" in the signature line, ripped off the ticket and threw it in my window and left.
A couple of weeks later, I called in to plea my ticket. The Assistant DA told me that by signing that line I am agreeing to show up for court or follow the applicable legal process. In this case calling in. Technically, the cop could have arrested me that night to ensure my appearance. We talked for a bit about the cop and his attitude and what brought me to not sign. We agreed to a non-moving violation and a fine. Not too shabby considering the whole situation.

Uh oh...someone tell SF to call the off-topic police.
Oh yeah...she's schweet! Much more shapely than mine.
Trip #1 was horrible. Trip #2 to Fort Worth has been 3billion times worse. Hopefully Trip #3 to Chicago will be a bit better. Right Greg?
