Interesting article. Not sure how I feel about it.

I hate that it is a budget issue. Why can't BLM's management of "wild animals" be much more dollar-efficient?

At first, I thought you were talking about Ford and I was very excited.

Now I'm just pissed that they'd do something like this. It's preposterous.

Euthanize something else, something that has no use what so ever, like reality tv characters.

Great idea. Right up there with Manifest Destiny: kill most Native Americans and coop the rest up on reservations to rot.

Just let em loose on government land and let nature do what it does. Besides, when we have no gas left, maybe I can put a saddle on one.

I thought this thread was going to be about getting rid of the Ford car.

Nothing really new, the BLM has been "selectively reducing" herds for years in secret on BLM land. I wonder how they expect to dispose of the carcasses since all the horse slaughter plants are closed in the U.S.? Maybe the have a deal cut with the French to ship them out live!

Two weeks ago at an endurance ride / Ride and Tie I met a gentleman who was riding the mustang he had purchased from the BLM. What a gorgeous animal that horse is! I wish that I had room enough and money enough for half-a-dozen of them!
