Anyone else been playing this? You can download it for free from the PS3 store. It's pretty amazing. I've been hooked on trying to set a fast lap in the elise. Best I have done so far is a 1min17s lap.

 

I downloaded it last night but the PS3 didn't come with HD cables. Still looks nice in 480i but I am not impressed. It feels fake, the jumps are stiff, and the sound/sfx are out of the 8bit era. Cmon now, cell processor with quantum flux capacitor or whatever, they can do much better than extra lens flares.

I think the market is starting to realize the PS3 is just BS. They're getting fed up with the artificially low supply and ridiculous pricing. I mean come on, who the hell is going to pay a min of $500 for a game system (talking mass market not first adopters). Sony has shot itself in the foot YET AGAIN.

I'm sick and tired of Sony's propietary BS and wish them nothing but failure. Grand Turismo used to be my favorite racing sim. However, after playing Forza I must say Turismo has taken a back seat. I can't wait to play Forza on a 360.

In my eyes, the ONLY thing the PS3 has going for it is Sony's exclusive rights to Formula 1. I usually buy a system for one game and it's ALWAYS a racing sim. Given my devotion to F1, I'm unfortunately in a situation to need to buy a PS3. However, I will wait until that price has been reduced considerably. Hopefully by then, Sony's exclusive rights to F1 will be over and Microsoft will be smart enough to snatch it up.

 

I also love what MS has done with the 360's HD-DVD drive. They made it an option instead of a requirement.

Just in case any of you don't know, the 360's HD-DVD drive works with Windows!

no offense against formula 1, but that definitely isn't going to be a make or break item for the ps3. f1 racing fans probably constitute like .001% of gamers. especially in the usa.

i'll still wait though...seeing as how i barely play video games anymore. just guitar hero!
