OK, digging up an older thread here, but I just got GTA3 and LOVE IT. Talk about a great way to work out some stress!! ;-)

Any other hints, tips or strategies out there would be greatly appreciated. I've been able to get through about 10 missions so far, but would like to know how the Hell I can get my hands on something a bit better than a 9mm.. Sniping from rooftops sounds like a nice lark... any tips?

I've beat the game, now I just go around causing trouble and finding secrets

have u gotten all the unique jumps? if u wait for the status screen to scroll there are a bunch of things that are listed...pretty cool!

the other thing i love doing is after a hard day, on the second island there's a raised walkway where the cops can't climb up the stairs to get you! I do the weapons, armor and health cheats, walk on up there and go on a killing spree. It's fun to shoot pedestrians in the leg w/ the sniper rifle...they start hopping up and down grabbing their leg before they collapse Once you blow up a few helicopters they start sending tanks after you!!!

GTA3 is banned in Aussieland and is being banned in several cities around the US - so get it while you can. Not sure how much longer it will last on the shelves.

Also JOSE can you please remove the large picture in your sig? takes up a lot of space there and adds unnecessary download time for the dialup users. thanks!
