g-s2k,

Sorry about the language (must be a recent Boston thing!) but even 1+ years after the experience, I am still bitter about the way I was treated by that dealership. It's too bad for Lundgrens, I just bought a new Accord V6 EX from another dealer three months ago and they might have earned my business on that one too had they been reasonable on the S2000! I have also successfully swayed several other buyers away from that dealership.

I will know for sure in January whether I'll be joining you. I know that Heather and Josh from RI are also considering it. My wife is interested in going, too.

The AAA Trip-Tick's are great! I have used them before for long road trips. They even list where "heavily enforced" areas are located.

Late jumping in on this party, but I'm from MA too. Own a silver/red that's still on the road - need a winter bomber cause its getting nasty. I take the commuter rail from Middleboro/Lakeville on bad days like last Fri and today, or I work at home. (joys of remote access!)

You might see me blasting along 140, 24 and 93 on my ride to/from Cambridge any time between 7-10AM in and 5-8PM back.

Hopefully not for long. My baby's seen enough salt already!

Thinking about Ashville but haven't decided yet. Missed the two NE meets. Can't wait for spring for a track day, or two, or three...

S2KFATTY,
I am 43, and I had a good experience with Lundgren that I thought I should share. Mid-November of this year I called them and spoke with Bruce (sales) and he asked me over the phone if I wanted to come in and test drive one. Naturally I was there within an hour and we went out in a sliver/red demo which had over 11,000 miles on it. He told me dont be afraid to take it up to the redline if I wanted to, but I stopped at 8500, already going too fast, being on an unfamiliar road. It was obvious the car had not gone thru the tranny fix 'cause it was really loud. Needless to say though, I fell in love with the car and wanted to buy one. I wanted to buy a new one, so Bruce offered me the Spa Yellow for MSRP with a $100 deposit to hold it until the car came in late this month or early next month. I declined because I wanted a white one and I didnt want to wait to get one. So I left there and called a half dozen or so dealers until I located a white one. It turns out that Clair Honda had a new white MY2000 (the one I now own) because they had auctioned it off for a charity event and the winner chose the cash instead of the car. They also treated me really well, and I ended up buying the car the day after I test drove it (had to think over night if I wanted to wait for the Spa Yellow MY2001 at MSRP vs going for the sure thing white MY2000) at what I considered to be a great price for a great car.

I just pick up my 2001 Silver/Red($34,200) on the 5th of December in Honda of Boston located in Everett Ma. They have two left, the yellow 2SK, and the Silver/Red, it's still in the showroom as of today(12/16). Yeah...Your White S2K....I do remember it being auctioned as a charity during the New England Car Show at Bayside Expo. It was during the 2nd week of November. It was a nice car. ps, hope you didn't mind...but I did sat in it for a while..... [QUOTE]Originally posted by HopkintonMA:

Thats pretty cool that you sat in my car before I bought it...maybe we should start a topic here to track down all the people that sat in their cars before they were purchased...lol
