GT3 Question - Licenses
Man, I have been having a BITCH of a time getting the Intl B (I think...it's the 3rd seies of exams) license. On the second to last exam, the one where you are running the Porsche/Ruf 911 through the zig zag, aka "complex string"? I got the first one done after about 10 attempts, but the second one has traction control turned OFF...making the tail scooch around a lot.
I must have run this zig zag 30 times last night and the closest I got was about .3 seconds off the time to beat. Have you guys gotten through this?! This is a tough one!

There are a lot of the tests that you'll think you are never going to get through and then you'll have one really good run and get it. The Superlicense tests can be a real killer. Those tests kind of alternate between really underpowered cars that require you to work really hard at maintaining momentum and way overpowered cars that you have to work real hard at not spinning coming out of corners. Keep at it and you'll get it! One thing I did, too, was when I got too frustrated with the tests I started racing again. After some more experience, the tests were a bit easier.
Greg,
Try adjusting your controls so that your left stick is for steering and your right stick is for gas, so that you don't always use full gas whenever you push the button. Then you can take these corners more smoothly and it should help with your times. I cannot for the life of me get the S license, I hope my new Gameshark gets here soon!

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who had trouble with that one! It took me over 1 hr to get through those tests. I lost the mos time right in the first 2 corners. Once I figured out that I didn't need full throttle through the first turn, I was able to set the car up better for the next turn and carried a lot more speed though it.

I don't even want to try and guess how many tries some of the Superlicense tests took me. It was very satisfying when I was done, that's for sure!
The test in the IB series (pretty sure it was in the IB) that really got me was the one in a Skyline where you go through alternating left/right constant radius corners with each one getting smaller and smaller. With all that horsepower, those last couple of corners are a real challenge.

Great advice, thanks! Skitz, very good idea about the stick for gas, I am doing that as soon as I start racing tonight...!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who had trouble with this one. I was about to lose my mind (or what's left of it) last night..!
One thing that I have had trouble with getting used to was having to use a on/off throttle to modulte it. I think using the stick will really help things...is that how you all have it set up?
