I wanna start this thread so we can keep track of GT3 and our progress. Post your cars and mods, times, whatever your progress is! I just started last night so I don't have much, and I can't stay up all night playing but I expect a hour or so a day

I currently have the 1985 Toyota Sprinter with the sport intake and exhaust, racing chip, stage 1 turbo, and sport suspension (184 HP if I remember correctly). I have won the first two tournaments of the first beginner level and will be starting the third today. The car runs low 16's in the 1/4 with a top speed of 134 or so. Those MR2's are fast!

I started with the cheapo Miata. I've finished the first 2 cups like yourself and I'm now sporting about 180something hp on my little death scooter. Stage 1 turbo, comp chip, racing tranny set to 24 ( the slider at the bottom that adjusts all the gears at once), racing exhaust, the mid-racing flywheel and the lightweight driveshaft, and the weight saving mod lvl 1. Runs pretty well, top speed 146 and it gets moving pretty quick. I didn't test the 1/4 mile time, I was more interested in getting a better top end in the straights. I'll have a lot more time to play tonight so I'll keep this thread updated.

 

I was also using the Toyota Sprinter that I won from the races. I did 1st turbo upgrade on it and it did alright. Later on I got a free old style MX-5 and did 1st stage turbo and racing transmission. It is 255 hp. Right now I am still using it and won many races although, I need to get a different car since I ran out of categories. There are many brand specific races in the beginners section. I love this game. The graphics are freaking awesome. I often find myself doing esthetic moves just to watch it later on.

MX5 - stage I of lightening the car. You can do this with your first 18K that you have.

I've just started with the cheapo Miata. I'm finding it hard to tear myself away from driving the Z06 in arcade mode.

Other than the S2000 I'm saving for the Mustang Cobra R

 

I saved up for the S2000 and then ran it in the Sportster class. You win $2500 everytime, especially in the test track. Hopefully, I'll have the stage III turbo for it tonight.

It ran a best of 12.51 in the 400m and tops out at 179.

I also am planning to get the Cobra R.

 

Last night I didn't have much time to play, and when I did play I was in arcade mode playing vs my roommate. I finally got the Stage 2 Turbo and Stage 1 weight reduction mods. I have 2 out of the 3 80's cup races out of the way, and I'm going to try to win the last one tonight. I now do the 1/4 in 15.2

 

I finally got the stage III turbo on the S2000. I got it to run 12.1 in the 400m now. I put on some Volk SE-37s and it helped out in the 400m.

I also got the Cobra R with stage II N/A package. It runs 12.0x in the 400m.

My next project is the Supra...

 

Started out with the Miata...added stage1 turbo until I haved enough for an S2000...
Got the S2000 and won alot of races in order to afford Stage3 turbo, best racing tires, all tuneups, diffs, tranny, etc.
Saved up enough to buy a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Turbo, maxxed out that puppy now....It's a 264 MPH rocket on the large oval course.
Saved up enough for a Zonda C12S, put some mods into it..it's a 254MPH rocket now that corners well!
