The game isn't boring if you don't play it all the time
, but that can be hard to do. I have recently had to pick up the books again just so I could get myself away from GT3! I have won all but like 2 of the Amateur races, all of the beginner races, and about half of the pro races. I have only won 2 of the rally races and like 4 endurance races. Geesh the Laguna Seca endurance was a real pain in the ass, it took me about 2 hours!

When I first got GT3 and took my S2000 to Trial Mountain and saw the light coming through the trees I was like...WHOA! 2 days later it was no big deal. I stuck GT2 in and almost got sick, the difference is shocking. So, I'm playing GT3 to get the S2000LM and the FTOLM and the F1 cars. Did that. So what. It's just not turning my crank like it used to, dunno why. I'll come back to it in a couple of days and see how it feels.

The sparks, the brake rotors glowing, the rain on the streets of the last two Rallys, the sunsets, the reflections...beautiful. The few things that pissed me off were the wheels at the beginning of each race are no where near the same as they look in the garage. It's not as if they had to make them move or anything, so I'ts a major oversight in my opinion. The wheels on most of the cars in the garage are too dark as well, espically on the S2000, but very detailed. Also the people being flat like cardboard and "ticking" back and forth was a waste. And lastly the camera flashes. The flash is flat, as if it's flashed onto a pane of glass. Why they bothered with this is beyond me, I'd much rather have had no people, no flashes, and better wheels at the start of the race.
I'm waiting for GT4, where you get to pick the time of day and climate...

The AI drivers are my big complaint. It's like they all have little path-routes and can't deviate regardless of what you're doing around them.
My big thrill now is you can knock an AI car completely out of a race. Not very easy but some fun. Run any race where there's tire wear (Pro level) and push an AI car past the pit entrance (get inside of him) when he wants to pit. The car will nose into the pit wall and stay pointed like that, motionless, for the rest of the race. You can free him up by ramming him hard enough to move him a bit further down the track. Not sure why the AI is that screwed up though. Talk about crappy pathing.

I agree with the whole AI issue. They are not competitive anymore. I think one other thing that GT3 lacks is the speed. I do not feel like I am driving fast unless I am in the F090. I remember that in GT2, I was enjoying even with the less powerfull and slow cars.
I agree with some of you. the game does not give me the enjoyment it did with GT2. I play it whenever I am really bored and have nothing else to do.
GT3 is the only game I have, what other games do you guys recommend for the PS2 console. I enjoy all kinds of games.

I think that is one of the major complaints with the PS2 right now. People are just looking for games to buy, but there aren't many good ones. I know in japan 50% of all PS2's are being used as DVD players only.....this does not bode well for the PS2's long term success. I can't wait for november when the GC and Xbox will be on the scene.....could get very interesting.

, but for games to get right now i have no clue
