Guitar players...check this out!
I was in Colubmia Mo this weekend to see my friend Michael and it just so happened that the Fabulous Thunderbirds were playing at the Big Ass bar (true name). Not that I care, Jimmy V. is no longer with them, so does anyone care? Anyway, one of the openers was the Eric Gales Band! If you don't know who Eric Gales is, you're in for a treat!
Eric Gales made a name for himself as a very talented young blues guitar player from Memphis in the early 90's, he was just 15 when he cut his first record, and had more talent at that age than Kenny W. Shepperd and Johnny Lang will have the rest of their life, this kid is pure fire. Now 26, all the colors are in place, he is phenomenal. His style is not straight blues, he can play Jazz all day long, and he can seem like Hendrix at times, but with more technique...certainly is a shredder of the first rank.
To make a long story short, we hung out after the show and he even drove the Stook! He was blown away, and so was I. This kid is underground legend, and to have him in my car was just awsome. Forgive me if I sound a bit hyper, but I'm a guitar player, and this was just the coolest thing to me(I have several pics, will post later).
Anyway, he will be opening up for KWS band for several dates coming up, if you don't understand my enthusiasm, just check him out, you won't belive it...no words can describe.
Here's a link to some info on him...

If you pick up a CD, get "Picture of a Thousand Faces", you won't regret it.
