It has the Edge Zero bridge on it.. I was looking for an older RG8470 but couldn't find one, that has the Edge Pro.

I've been thinking about getting a 7VWH, I have a 777DY and love it, probably my favourite. Though I play my Universe more now, loving the 7's

Tuna, the 1570 is a great guitar. it's basically the newer version of the RG550/570 I mentioned.

Honestly, if you can find an older 550/570 i'd get it over the 1570. It had the original wizard neck and was pretty much a stripped down Jem, but same quality.

The RG5EX and the like I think are made in Indonesia.. quality is suspect, then again I bought an RG350 for a 100 bucks off craigslist and it's pretty damn wicked, so you get lucky or you don't unless you can play it first.

Between the two, 1570 hands down.

Kremlin, which USA custom do you have? it's not one of the ART guitars is it? Some guy on 7string.org is selling his Necromancers Castle.. the hair band part of me wants it.

As for the Reverand, it's amazing they aren't more popular then they are, they are truely hidden gems. I've only played a couple, but been impressed both times.
guitar folks!

thoughts on a ... heavily used... rg550?

I'd pay max $400 for the first one. the second one I'd laugh at him.

If you have $800 to spend, take a look at this one http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/msg/1569059294.html

Dammit! I just made this guy an offer at $1k http://columbus.craigslist.org/msg/1568311105.html super sweet guitar.. this thread is bad for my finances.

For the most part, I like my S series guitars more for playing live since they're light, and sooo comfortable http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/msg/1557229036.html $400 would be a deal.

Otherwise your craiglist kinda sucks for Ibanez.

Small world.

I wanted to start playing and bought an acoustic guitar. I sort of regret it so I asked a friend about getting a god starter electric and he also suggested an Ibanez 550. I checked craigslist and he told me to go see that one. I never did though as trying to get in shape has taken the place of guitart for now.

He also said this was interesting but maybe a little beat up for the price.
http://columbus.craigslist.org/msg/1532258493.html but i don't know squat about guitars

The old Jem RB's hold their value, you could play that for a few years then sell if for the same price.

It plays great, has the same wizard neck as the other Jems ( or more accurately it's the same neck as a RG550.

Personally I think they look like ass, so it's not my cup of tea. A 550 at half the price is just as good....at half the price.

^ so you think 400 is the most you'd pay for this one? High bid is still 200, i think i might offer something on it if it stays that way tomorrow.

If you really like it, you could go $450 with out feeling bad about it. It is in pretty good shape considering the age, and the typical cracks on the back of the neck at the nut aren't there, so that is a plus.

12 bidders makes me think it will jump up at the last minute though.
