H-A Net back up
H-A.net is a disaster, a comedy of errors.
Can you believe these clowns didn't have enough forethought to post the alternative address in the message that pops up when you try to access the site using the old URL?
We've moved our corporate web site three times in the last few years and it was never inacessible for more than an hour.
I've just wasted half a day trying to find old messages. I just gave up. I'm never going back. I'm really ****ed, and as far as I'm concerned, it's good riddance.

Come on, Rick, it's not a corporate site. I think it's pretty harsh to be so critical of them, considering as far as I know they don't really make anything off of it. It's not going to be run the way a site that was a profit-center would be...
fluxen, I just tried accessing the site. I got to the main page, clicked on S2000...timed out because it was so slow. I'm with Rick on this one...H-A is certainly worthless at this point. I'd much rather stick with this board.

I can sympathasize with you Rick, after all, you had all those posts with pics and USEFUL info and stuff. I'd be ****ed too!
As for my take on the whole matter, the "move" WAS POORLY PLANNED!!!! the downtime was atrocious, and the speed is too ****ing slow!!!
I for one, won't plan on going back until H-A.net clears things up! I was pleased with the little features that appeared before it went down, but the downtime and the slowness of H-A.net has got me, as well as a few others P*SSED!!!
In the long run, whoever did the move should have planned this whole thing a little better! I'm not saying that I could have done it in less time/more secure/etc. I'm just saying my 2 cents worth, and I know I would have put a little thought into all this before I lept.

I agree with Rick, only because the admins at h-a.net were so fussy about how ungrateful we were, but it was always a POS from a technical standpoint.
If I spend all day doing a bad job, do I deserve your respect just for putting in the time? I don't know what Josh is up to because his appearance and sudden takeover of the h-a.net site is an enigma to me, but I do think there's logic in getting everyone onto one site or the other.

This site runs on a brand new server, from a telco grade data center with triple redundant OC3 Internet links to three seperate networks (ATT, SPRINT and eSpire)and triple redundant power sources (public, battery and diesel). There is a hot standby server available in the event of total catastrophy and backups are performed twice daily to an offsite location. Every channel in to or out of the server, with the exception of this one is encrypted. It is monitored 24/7 and has a guaranteed 1 hour turnaround on any repair even if that includes total replacement. The system can be fully restored to operation in 1 hour with a maximal loss of 12 hours of data. To cover the cost I need only five sponsors.
Just in case you are insterested....
BTW, If any of you want consulting services on how to set up such a thing for your business for less than $1500, drop me an email

So, is Netcraft.com correct? Just curious.

At this moment, it's much faster, but a bit buggy. They say they switched servers.
