A couple of weeks ago my wife and I were coming home from a charity dinner, going South on the 405 to North on the 55; because of the construction there's only one lane open at the beginning of the interchange. Some idiot in a Firebird decided that he could cut across the gore point at the last instant to get onto the interchange, and too late learned that there's a curb which comes up all-of-a-sudden. We got a fireworks show similar to the one on the video.

Fortunately he didn't hit anyone.

I once did that on the transition road from the eastbound 5 to the southbound 710 in my 93 Prelude -- went over a gore point curd. Made a hell of a noise. I didn't have much choice. A delivery truck tried to run me off the road. Incredibly, no damage.

This vid eerily reminds me of the video of the white Type R jumping a crest in the road....which eventually ended the life of the car on its roof, and ending the life of the two occupants in the car.

Thankfully they didn't hit the white pick-up in the driveway.......idiots!

What a bunch of idiots. That's a good way to lose control and get into a serious accident.

 

Life is all about learning from your mistakes...... just seems they haven't made a big mistake yet, but it surely is only a matter of time if they are doing things like that!
