Handgun in a car, what is the consequence?
I'm in wisconsin, and I have been searching concealed gun laws a little bit and have found nothing about the penatly for my particular situation...I have a Beretta Tomcat in a case underneath my seat and my full clip is in the glove box..
Now I think state law allows you to have a cased weapon in your vehicle(or atleast thats what i believed when I transported my 30/30 for hunting). What crimes am I commiting with the full clip and the amount of fines I am forced to pay along with jail time etc??

iirc you need to obtain a concealed weapon's permit in order to transport them in such a manner. Look into Wisconsin's concealed weapon laws or contact a local gunshop and ask them directly. Possession of a concealed weapon without a license is pretty serious trouble so yeaaa I'd prolly look into that pretty soon.

1. I'm assuming you mean a magazine. "Clips" are what gangsta's load into their "nines."
2. I would recommend consulting with a source more absolute than an internet car forum for something as major as committing a potential felony. Like someone else suggested, talk to your local gun store, or call the cops. Check and see if your state has a website with firearm law FAQ's.

I was just asking because like i said I carry my unloaded 30/30 cased in the back seat of our truck along with ammunition, and have had no issues with police...Is it different with handguns, because they ARE associated with protection?? I checked wisconsins concealed gun laws and shyt, but I wasn't sure if my case was the same...

"As of 2006, two states (Wisconsin[3] and Illinois[4]) and Washington D.C.[5] have no provision for legal concealed-carry privileges. There are currently movements in each of these states to pass concealed-carry laws. Legislation was passed in 2004 and again in 2005 but vetoed by the respective governors."
"In the United States, carrying concealed weapon (CCW, also known as concealed carry) is the legal authorization for private citizens to carry a handgun or other weapons in public in a concealed manner, either on the person or in close proximity to the person. "
Call your sheriff and ask about the laws of keeping an unloaded handgun in your car and the laws pertaining to whether its defined as concealed or not.

I'm in socal. I've been pulled over with a loaded beretta 96FS Brigadier sitting on the passenger seat. Luckily, I knew the officer and it was no big deal. It all depends on who you are and who the officer is.
