Car and Driver (and some other mags) have a HF ad with a coupon for THIS JACK for $60.

Harbor Freight= cheap tools with fair tolerances when it comes to sockets/wrenches. The old adage, "you get what you pay for" applies. They would well for most shade tree mechanics.
