Default Harley-Davidson V-Rod - 9K RPM redline!

That got your attention huh?

Seriously! Finally this mega-bike has been released to the public and I've been working with H-D for the past three years to make it road legal in Europe...

Lemme tell you that it was extremely hard to keep my mouth shut about this neat little project that was cooking.

This bike is so GawdDamn sweet that I just got to have one!

It really does redline at 9000RPMs, runs 140mph (225km/h) has a little bit over 100hp with a 1130cc engine (water cooled!!!)

In the next two weeks I'm over in Milwaukee and Talladega to do the offical cert-tests and... I get to ride one the whole time!

So super sweet! I think I might even not miss my Stook

Hope you guys enjoyed it. Let me know what your thoughts are!!

Seriously, that's beautiful ... Nice, kinda of the change of Harleys I always see on the road. Hmm, let's hope I see it soon in real life.

I've generally been pretty anti-Harley in the past, but this one rocks! I've been thinking about visiting my dealer, but any talk about markups will negate all that great engineering work that HD and Porsche did on this bike.

Yamaha and Honda both have new, really nice powercruisers for much less, but for once it looks like HD has outdone it's Japanese competition!

Is this the engine that HD decided not to use years ago because it was too smooth? I remember that HD worked with Porsche on a new powerplant that was judged to be not

Very nice. I've seen spy photo earlier but this looks really good. Weren't they working with Porsche I believe on this one? Alot of rake in the front end though. Good for crusin and straight line stability. Not so good for going around corners. Looks to be twin cammed with no pushrods unlike the EVO this is good. Still looks like a seperate gearbox though. What about driveline, still belt or shaft? Fuely or carberated, it looks like FI not really sure though. Five or Six speeds?

I'll say this it sure nice to see them depart for the older style. This motor ought to be a good baseline for a sports production bike. Time will tell!
