After almost seventeen years of litigating employment and labor law suits, I am firmly convinced that our current system of justice needs a major overhaul.

I have been involved with matters that make me shudder in disbelief, when I reflect upon some of my more interesting experiences.

At the ripe old age of 45, I have became a staunch believer in the old adage " when you play around sh*t, you are bound to get some on you". Good luck on your future career in Law.

Here is an interesting investigation into a lawsuit against coca cola that eventually becomes a sort of conspiracy theory involving things such as organized crime and iran contra. Very, very, long read but it is interesting, though definately more than a little speculative. But the events surrounding the Chicago court system seem questionable and whether you believe the conspiracy theory stuff or not, they do describe how the power system in the courts works and how it can be corrupted. The court system, and the idea of "justice" are something a lot of people take for granted and I think that it is important that people at least know something about how they work, whether or not you believe that the courts are still just. Keep in mind the strong anti-capitalism anti-corporation bias of the article as you read and it can be very informative.

America, being the most successful, richest country in the World with what I think is the best form of government in the World is the envy of the World. As such, it is a target of the wrath of every third world despot seeking to feather his own nest at the expense of his fellow countryman. Remember this: Anyone from anywhere in the World, if they can make it here can become an American; however, if you go to another country, you can never become a Frenchman, Italian or whatever.

I too had thoughts of being a lawyer until I spoke with one.
I changed my mind.
