...but I just picked up the latest issue of Motortrend while waiting in line at the mall... thumbed through a few pages... and saw the article on "Motor Trend- Car of the Year"...

Problem #1. No FUGGIN S2000!??
.............a. But yet there is a RX8, EVO, STI and WRX, 350Z, Z4, Crossfire, XLR ....not to mention the A8, GTO, 7-series... ect... basically EVERY car in the S's class outright, or performance-wise!

Problem #2. The best car... The damn PRIUS!!???
.......a. Who makes that!? Matchbox!?
.....b. I feel less Heterosexual everytime I say it
.....c. It looks like an oversized butt plug
.....d. I wouldn't wish SHIRI or Steve C the fate of driving it... No one deserves that!


When in the evolution of car magazine common sense did MotorTrend aquire such a lack of taste!? that was by far the most dissapointing article I've ever read, produced by ANY magazine... I found more thrill and satisifaction reading Cat Fancy on the next shelf!

...Unfortunately, the cashier didn't think that it was too funny when I dropped the magazine on her lap in a terret's, just-saw-a-spider, spazmatic contraction- fashion!

 

Car of the Year is reserved for new/updated models. S2000 isn't really eligible... also i don't see the 350Z or 7-series you mentioned.. as those wouldn't be eligible for 2004 either.

 

Sorry, but I'm gonna have to disagree on this one. Who said the car of the year had to be a sports car or some super fast thing-a-ma-jiggy from a lofty company. I think the idea of the Prius is awesome. I firmly applaud anyone who has the gumption to go out and purchase a "green" vehicle. I also think that the new prius looks a heck of a lot better than the last one.

Sorry, I can't say I have any first hand experience on the butt-plug aspect of it.

No, I'm not selling my S for a Prius any time soon.

if you guys havnt known this but..

motortrend is always paid off by big companies too make their cars looks and sound better than they are.

ex. The cadilac suv beat out the porsche / vw / and something else...

come one now have u driven a porsche / vw or an x5? i have and the cadical i drove at the dealer was junk compared to these cars... but motortrend made its #1 out of the bunch.

I have to agree with you on wishing Shiri the fate of driving a Prius. He is a real ass. I personally haven't encountered Steve C although he is probablly a troll too. Alexf20c says he has like 27 cars in his garage, maybe he would like a Prius to go with it! LOL he si a jerk too

Why the Prius and not the Civic Hybrid? The Civic Hybrid at the least still looks like a normal car.
