Also... to all of the Negative reviews of teh original post... When did I say "The s2000 should be the best car!!"... I love that attempt to flame me on something irrevelant to what I had post... but if everyone else's insecurity resulted in them deriving such a conclusion, then there's nothing I can do about that...
I simply noted frustration that the S was not up there, but yet many SAME CLASS, SIMILAR CARS were! jacka$$e$. People who simply flame for the sake of building up their internet confidence/ego... amaze me.
Car of the Year is reserved for new/updated models. S2000 isn't really eligible... also i don't see the 350Z or 7-series you mentioned.. as those wouldn't be eligible for 2004 either
As for getting a mortgage from a guy who attempted to write a humerous rant regarding how a car... (which might be a TECHNILOGICAL MASTERPIECE, but looks absolutely ridiculous in the process...) won such a title... man, who in the hell would want to do that...!!?? Definately do NOT go to me if you want your closing cost cut in half simply because you own the same car as he does! ...no, that would be insanity. ...huh Smokee?
I'll agree with motortrend on prius. Its really going to be a historical car. Thirty years from now people will be hailing it as the first successful hybrid car in a new generation of cars. And thirty years from now, what will people remember about the s2000?
"Wow, that was a neat little sports car for its day." If they remember it at all, that is. Probably the only people that will remember it are going to be people who are into 'classic' turn-of the millenium gas powered cars, when internal combustion gasoline cars reached the pinnicle of their existance. Like it or not we will probably see the end of the production of purebred gasoline powered cars within many of our lifetimes.
