This is what you asked me not to do, 2X6...

I ask you not to share my e mail to you in a piece-meal fashion. If you're going to quote it, please quote the whole thing.
Thanks for living up to your end of the bargain...

OK Greg, here's my complete response and your e mail to me (although your 20 point bold font doesn't appear in this block and copy).

Hi Greg

I see you're still screaming, you don't have to, I'd read your e mail in any event. Thanks for the spelling lesson.

Whatever the S2000 site we all used to hang out on in May 2000 is gone now I guess. As I recall it crashed and lost its archives and we all moved to S2000-online. This should not come as a surprise to you. The first thread I started was a discussion about my ride in my neighbor's Porsche 996 which he got at the same time I got my S2000. I remarked about a lack low end torque lack of a clock etc. and commented as to how the 9000 rev limit seemed a bit of a gimmick (my car was slow when I first got it) and that the S2000 was something of a toy. Perhaps you recall the thread. Started quite an avalanche of responses. Among them was your comment to someone that he was a moron. It offended me and I posted immediately about your comment. If you don't remember this event or do not wish to remember it that's your business. I do remember it and I don't need to refer to an archive which we both know doesn't exist any longer to prove it.

As long as you brought it up, the way you attempt to marshal a drum beat in your support among the chorus also makes me uncomfortable. It strikes me as immature (on the level of the gorilla chanting you see on the Jerry Springer show) and baiting of folks who you perceive as less popular than yourself. I make a living from protecting the weak from bullies. I'm not saying that you're a bully, but rather an instigator. It offends me.

I don't fault you for parlaying your enthusiasm for S2000s into a lot of free parts for your car. As is the case for most of the folks on this board, (and yourself as well I'm sure) I can buy any part I want for my car. I just did not like the way you attack Bieg for expressing his opinions on this subject. I think you consider him an easy target. I find your personal attacks against him to be childish and just another example of how you tend to turn so many discussions into some kind of personal referendum, "am I OK"? I find this tactic of yours to be both meanspirited and pathetic.

Notwithstanding all of these comments, I consider you to be a decent if immature guy. I have no animosity for you whatsoever. I noticed in one of your recent posts that you told us all that you survived cancer. Whether this was a bid for pity or not, I found it to be a touching and remarkably intimate disclosure of the most personal nature, and found myself saying, "Yeah, Greg, good for you!"

I ask you not to share my e mail to you in a piece-meal fashion. If you're going to quote it, please quote the whole thing.

In any case, it's Friday evening and the sun is going down so I'll take my leave to break some bread and drink some wine. Have a good week-end, drive safely, and take it easy on those who you perceive as less cool than yourself, you'll look like the better person for it.

Sincerely,
**name redacted**

Subject: Examples, please

Philip, yes, I'm tired of your childish accusations and flaming spears thrown in my direction. I don't understand it, but that's not a big deal. You have your issues, I have mine...no big whoop. But one thing that does confound me is that you can make statements like this in a thread:

The first time I logged onto the S2000 site, Greg Stevens was calling someone a "moron" for complaining about lack of low end torque. I've noticed over the past year that Greg is quick to insult and criticize, but as soon as someone responds in kind, Greg is even quicker to whine and ask why are you picking on me?

Greg has picked out folks he doesn't like and directs flacid personal attacks on them. His signature comments are "ummm," "LOL," and rolling of eyes. Personally, I've gotten a kick out of as many of his posts as not and wish him well. But I must say that it seems to me that he doesn't have the temperment to be a good moderator.

All the while not providing any sort of facts to back your claim up. I would like to see hard cold examples of the claims that you are making here. I am betting that whatever you DO find has more to do with a sense of humor that has gone purposefully misinterpreted so you can make some kind of case.

So, please search and give me concrete quoted examples of the things that you are claiming here...

Thanks
Greg

BTW, it's flaccid, not flacid.

Greg,

I don't give a damn if you believe me or not. I will not publish the names of those who support my views via PMs because they are private and many have expressed the fact that they don't voice their support in public because of all the "bullying" you and your crew do on this board. They don't need the aggravation. I respect their wishes. Not everyone wants to stand up to the abuse.

You are also either lying or have been misinformed when you say that you have been in contact with people on this board who have dealt with me personally. I have met exactly ONE person on this board and that was to sell him an OEM rear spoiler. I doubt he had any negative thing to say about me and I have no negative thing to say about him.

Bottom line You are beholden to those who give you free parts. You act as an agent for those companies that sponsor you. You try to discourage anyone from speaking out against saying anything that might be bad for business. You try to bully and rally support against those who oppose your methods. You derive a personal benefit for doing this (free stuff). The reason you get this free stuff is so you can promote it here on the boards and in your club. After all why else would anyone "sponsor" you. You are not racing in SCCA or anything are you? You couldn't be, not with all those mods.

Me? I am beholden to no one (but my loved ones) and I am free to speak my mind. Even if it does not make me popular with your friends or "sponsors".

Thanks for your input and clarification, Bieg. Though, somehow, somewhere, I think we have heard it all before.

I didn't want to single out the person who dealt with you to protect their privacy.

I'm not going to argue or respond to any more of your posts.

Thank you and good night...

That person (Beig) needs to get the **** over it and move on with his life, this is an internet board, we all have oppinions and expirences, I for one would like to keep hearing how things do or do not work as opposed to why or why not to modify MY car. If you want to leave your car alone, fine. I have alredy decided to modify mine and I want reviews on EVERYTHING before I blow my money on it. So what if Greg gets tons of stuff at little or no cost, if it does not work, i will not be ownig it, if it does work I may own it. What Greg paid for it has nothing to do with weather or not I buy it!!! I (as all of the rest of us) am an adult, therfore I make my own decisions, Gregs reviews do not make me spend money, I MAKE ME SPEND MONEY!! So given the fact that Beig is never going to modify his car, what does his oppinion matter? It doesnt.
BTW Beig, Hondas engineers are human too, therfore they are not perfect, neither are their cars. They have to work with cost constraints. We as modifiers only have the constraints that our minds and wallets give us. Sjo yes we can put together a better car, regardless of what you think, so shut the hell up already!!

Thanks Greg!! keep on posting!!

I for one, don't give a crap who posts what, but I do find this thread just a tad childish. But who am I, but one of the nameless peons that fills the space between the important posts.
