Default having a bad day damnit!

This should have been a Monday because it sucks for a Friday. I won't even get into why my day started badly but then it was something small that made it worse. When I got to work and parked my S2K inthe garage, the door would not stay closed. It is automatic and after it closed all of the way it would just go back up after a few seconds. This was something that I did not have time to mess with so I just closed it manually for now. Ok no biggie but a small pain in the ass anyway.

Then I start dealing with a couple of clients on the phone who are were being total pricks. They want some of my guys to spend the entire weekend making unreasonable changes when the deadline is next Monday. They asked questions like how long have they been in the business, how many hours do they plan on spending working on this, on their own time mind you. etc... If I could have crawled through the phone line I would have kicked their asses. They were totally unprofessional.

I know this probably does not sound that bad to you if you are reading it but there are a lot of details that I am leaving out or I would be here all night.

Anyway, just had to vent.

Thanks,
Kirk

Well its Saturday, here at work, testing a system mod for our warehouse system. The vendor forgot to see if the barcode readers could scan 21 characters. Well they can do 20 and then go into a buffer overrun. What a useless group. Now they are trying to figure out how to parse the barcode. Well the rest of the day is shot and I have 20 people sitting around waiting to test.

Kirk, back when I was in advertising, it never failed. Come Friday (usually in the pm), some client would call or drop by with changes to a job in progress that they wanted by Monday. After dropping off the work they would always say, "Have a nice weekend." as they left to go home early.

We never said, "No." I suppose that's one reason we were successful, but it still was a pain in the ass.

Kirk,

At least you can use the S2K to get rid of some of that stress. I just got back from Temecula over the weekend and driving the S2K aroiund for 200 miles was just pure bliss.

I had fun at the S2k get together after work and everyone was nice enough to hang around to wait for me. We ended up hanging out in the parking lot listening to the variuos rear speaker installs so I decided that I had to do it also. I drove around some on Saturday, bought my new speakers, and then Amartin and I installed my door Polk's that night. Rortiz will be doing the rear and tweeter Polk's in a couple of weeks.

I saw our finished image today and it is incredible. I went to a skate board shop on Saturday and took some hi-res digital photos of a board so we would have a nice texture of the side of the deck with the sandwiched layers of wood. One of our fantastic modelers rendered a new board and our awesome artist Matt, put it all together. Our artists just blow me away with the quality that they do and how quickly they can do it when they need to.

Our clients are probably removing their feet from their mouths today after seeing it.

Kirk, Mine is close.
Remember last Mondaywhen the School District lost basically all inbound and outbound telephone traffic. Guess who Manages the Telecom dept. Channel 36 was all over me.

Tuesday, the following day, I come home from work and as I get ready to cover my baby, I notice someone has hit my car while it was parked at work, in an underground protected employee parking lot and didn't leave any information.

Sometimes stuff just seems to happen all at once.

Man that sucks. Sorry to hear that. Seems like our poor cars are all just being abused lately. What's up with that?
