Resistance Fall of Man, Darkness, GT5, new grant theft auto, MGS4, FFXIII, Devil May Cry 4,Ninja Gaiden Sigma, DiRT, Warhawk, etc etc etc.

PS3 BY FAR has the best lineup of games. Just because xbox 360 has halo 3 (which is nothing special really, just a lot of hype) doesn't mean ps3 is loosing.

Xmas season this year the ps3 will be dominating the market when all these great name brand games come out.

 

If you think Halo 3 is the only game the Xbox has you are sadly mistaken.

The PS3 has been losing exclusive titles, now Blu Ray is losing studios.

I'm not going to be naive and say that BR/PS3 is in the gutter, no way. But for anyone to say that HD DVD is going to be non-existent in the next few months is crazy.

 

I mentioned that game because its pretty much the only game you ever hear about on the 360 console. Sure there are other games also (ie. forza, project gothem, gears of war, etc) but overall sony still has all the big named games (aside from the halo name).

I'm not dissing either system but for you to say "Sony better get some actual games out for the PS3, cause that's the only thing keeping them in the lead right now," is just ignorant because they DO have a great lineup (just not as over hyped as the single xbox game thats not really even that good for all intensive purposes).

I also never said "HD-DVD will be nonexistant in a few months..." I only mentioned usually the better technology will prevail in the long run.

 

HD is definitely picking up steam with all the support they've been getting lately. But i'm too scared to buy either way right now with the way support tends to waiver so quickly.

On the ps3 subject, I've gotta say their lineup is rather weak right now compared to the 360. Sure Halo 3 is the big game right now, but that's because Bungie has proven that they can make a good game. Is the Halo series over hyped? Definitely. But that helps MS no matter what. Of those games you listed, none of them are the killer app that Sony so desperately needs SOON. Unforunately for Sony, they've lost so many of their exclusives [DMC4, Assassin's Creed] which really hurts them. MGS4, FF XIII and GT5 are going to be huge, the question is whether or not they'll be able to save a sinking ship.

 

The battle is far from over. HD-DVD backers have gobs of money and won't go down without a fight.. evident by the fact that they just spend millions to buy the support of several huge studios. On other continents, HD-DVD is outselling BR. Just buy your disks online.. two thumbs up for amazon

I find that argument hard to believe.

I understand that the p0rn industry helped VHS defeated BETA.. but seriously, who buys p0rn on DVD anymore? Everyone downloads it for free nowadays..

 

I believe LG had come out with a dual format DVD player..

I use my PS3 to watch Blu-ray movies and it totally blows away my pos upconverting dinosaur.

 

If you're gonna name games, at least name ones that are at least rumored to come out within the next year.
