where is the best place to go for health insurance ??? my girlfriends job doesnt offer it to her and i dont want her to be without. tried to do the "domestic partnership" with my work but they said you have to be "same sex" for that to work

Check out Fortis. A huge company and I got a major medical policy a while back for under a $100/mo with a few grand deductible. Figured if I had a bad car accident, I could swing the few grand.
