Thumbs up Heated pools

We are having kind of a debate in the household, I keep the pool set at around 86F degrees, to altleast make it refreshing in the 95+ Orlando weather, but everyone else wants it warmer, so where do you keep yours?

Anything in the 80s is acceptable. 85 is perfect. Above 90 you might as well have a hot tub.

Can't believe you need a heater in Florida, I've been having trouble keeping the pool cool up here in the north. Mine has been 85-90 all summer with out a heater.

The way the yard is setup, and with an enclosed pool, the heater is nice to keep the pool at a constant temp. We had a bunch of rain on Sat night, and that always kills it by a couple of degrees.

Thanks for the input

Have never heated the pool here in TX. Current temp is almost 100. The 80 degree nights do not let it cool off from the 105 degree days.

I've heard before that water in the 75-80 range is best for people who are doing laps... people who lounge? the warmer the better.
