Default Help ! accord engine questions

I know this is really off topic....

Any ideas regarding removing the crankshaft pulley bolt on a 92' accord with a 4 cyl. engine. I have a friend that is killing himself trying to loosen this bolt so as to get to a oil leak. He has tried high power torque wrenches and a long breaker bar with a socket. He did manage to twist the extention in two. I asked if he was sure if it was lh or rh thread, he felt sure that it was a normal counterclockwise to remove bolt... any ideas?
I am guessing a long cheater with an impact rated short extention.

Get it up high enough off the floor to get a long cheater over a very stout break-over bar. My son recently took one off a '96 and an air impact wrench wouldn't get it. A four to five foot piece of Chromemoly tubing slipped over the breaker bar is what finally broke it loose. Btw, he also had to keep the engine from turning at the same time. I believe he used somehow jammed one of the balance shafts to keep it from spinning, but can't remember.

So get with it and put some real torque on it!

thanks for the reply... do you remember if it had a normal thread ? i.e. will it unscrew in a counterclockwise fashion?
